Nirvãna (Sanskrit: निर्वाण nirvāna ; Pali: निब्बान nibbāna ; Prakrit: णिव्वाण ṇivvāṇa ) is the Sanskrit word for the Enlightenment, which also means “Blown out” (as in flame of a lamp or candle) / “coolness”.
Dhammã means the Teaching or Philosophy. Samma Sambuddha’s teachings are purely guided to cease all kind of suffering & unsatisfactory feelings by gaining pure happiness and peace to the mind. It is indeed possible through the elimination of ignorance / unawareness and craving. This accomplishment is called as the enlightenment / Nirvãna / Nirvana. For that, one have to understand & realize the perception of dependent origination and the Four Noble Truths which is in another name “Dhammã”.
